We are the proud holders of the Law Society Lexcel Quality Mark awarded to us for the level of care we give to every client. Lexcel is the Law Society's coveted Quality Standard. We are one of approximately 580 firms out of the 14000 firms practising in this country to have been awarded Lexcel accreditation to date. The Lexcel scheme was introduced in 1998 to give clients a standard by which they could judge the quality of the legal services they require. Lexcel accreditation has been awarded following successful implementation and assessment of the Law Society's quality standards throughout the firm. These standards are designed to help improve client care through good practice management and efficiency within the firm. President of the Law Society, Peter Williamson, said "I am delighted that Mossop and Bowser have achieved this important Law Society award. The firm has demonstrated a commitment to superior practice management and excellent client care." The assessment itself was carried out by The East Midlands Quality Centre, an independant assessment body. The practice, which has offices in Holbeach and Long Sutton, underwent rigorous assessment by the Law Society in order to secure CQS status, which marks the firm out as meeting high standards in the residential conveyancing process. Law Society President Linda Lee said that the Law Society introduced CQS to recognise high standards in the home buying process. "CQS improves efficiency with common, consistent standards and service levels and enables consumers to recognise practices that provide a quality residential conveyancing service. "Buying a home is one of the largest purchases anyone will make in their lifetime, so it is essential that it is done to the highest standard by a solicitor. There are many different conveyancing service providers out there, making it difficult for home buyers to identify those which can ensure a safe and efficient level of service." Graham Wakefield, Partner at Mossop & Bowser Solicitors, says: "We are delighted to become one of the first CQS firms, which I believe will be the benchmark for best practice in the property market for years to come. It underlines our commitment to providing an efficient and safe service with the client's best interests at the heart of everything we do." The CQS scheme requires practices to undergo a strict assessment, compulsory training, self reporting, random audits and annual reviews in order to maintain CQS status. It is open only to members of the Law Society and to those who meet the demanding standards the scheme will set and has the support of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Building Societies Association, and the Association of British Insurers. . |
